Ayrshire's holiday island has been the site of many of our commissions
ranging from houses, nursing homes, restaurants and bistros, church
repairs and structural reports. Many Victorian buildings in the Sannox
Estate have been converted or refurbished.
This former cottage conversion is one starting point for the ascent
of Goatfell.

AYR

This sensitive upgrading of one of Ayr's oldest buildings, Loudoun
Hall resulted in our first Civic Trust Award.


The conversion of a former school to flats plus our designed roads,
drainage and new housing produced one of our most successful housing
developments.

CANNA
The isolation of this conversion of a derelict chapel to a study
centre did not prevent us from supplying design and inspection services
to the Hebridean Trust.

Princess Royal On 5th June 2001.

DORNOCH
Holiday parks require restaurants, bars, swimming pools and shops
to satisfy family expectations. Infrastructure and ease of access

EDINBURGH
When upper floor precast concrete floor units collapsed just after
erection we investigated this serious accident and supplied advice
regarding the likely causes together with recommendations for further
investigations.

GIRVAN

Fishing boat fabricators required a high, non standard portal formed
shed with overhead crainage which we designed for the fabricator
and erection Contractor, D. M. Kerr
of Straiton.
As Project Managers we then upgraded the principal workshop and
hardstandings to suit Health & Safety criteria.

GLASGOW
The upgrading of this nursing home meant investigations of its existing
structure before we extended it outwards and upwards to introduce
ensuite faciities and additional public rooms.

IRVINE
In Ayrshire's new town we have designed new houses, shops and restaurants
plus new roads and roundabouts for Riverside Business Park (for
Scottish Enterprise).

KILMARNOCK

The Dick Institute required repair and strengthening before a Chinese
Dinosaur Exhibition could commence.

The
listed but redundant nursing home at
Mount House is currently being converted
and extended to residential flats.

ORKNEY
The newly completed St. Magnus Visitors Centre had the benefit of
our structural design from the initial (and award winning) architectural
design by ARP Lorimer & Associates through development to construction.
The
centre has proved to be a popular attraction since it opened on
16th April 2001.

PAISLEY
Our commissions include new housing, office conversions and hotel
alterations. We hope to commence the design of a new hotel this
year.

PORTPATRICK
New houses and a restaurant have been followed by the upgrading
of this nearby lighthouse keeper's house on the Southern Upland
Way.

STRANRAER
Shops, the Tourist Office and housing comprise our past and present
commissions including site investigations and infrastructure design.

TIREE
This windswept island was the 1830s base for Telford's lighthouse
construction at Skerryvore. The former barracks and worshop at Hynish
Square required careful and sensitive refurbishment which led to
our second Civic Trust Award. Our client the Hebridean Trust,
is now based at Hynish.

The refurbishment of sports facilities and lounge bars at the Scottish
Police College was the subject of a Feasibility Study Team led by
Bryce Drummond Associates in 1999.
